Future Problem Solving is an academic team where students work in together in teams of four with a coach who facilitates their research into the current topics, and helps them to learn and apply the six-step problem solving process. During the year the students work on three set topics, analyze a one page futuristic scenario (the 'Future Scene') and produce a booklet based on the problem solving process. The work is assessed at the District Governor’s Cup Competition with comprehensive feedback, including suggestions for improvement. The top two placed teams from the Qualifying Problem compete at the Regional Governor’s Cup Level.
